Hugs to you Laura and you too Laurie; Christmas is very sad when you have just lost a loved one.
And OUCH to the twisty ties - I HATE them and will never again use a scissors to undo them. Hope you recover the use of your hand soon.

OK, really, I'm raising the white flag here. I give up! Uncle! LOL.
Saw the surgeon today, who immediately sent me to someone who specializes in hand surgery. He didn't like what he saw at all, so they put a splint on my hand and scheduled me for surgery next Friday. Yup, that's right, Friday the 13th!!!! ROTFL. It seems that I have done substantial damage to the median nerve. Not good. He's hoping to make a good enough repair that the pain will subside, but said he couldn't make any promises about whether the feeling would return, because everyone heals differently.
EGAD.

Wow, Laura! You must have really done a number on yourself! The way they package all the toys anymore is absolutely ridiculous! I hope the surgery gets you all fixed up good as new! And by the way, we consider the 13th a lucky number around here! My oldest son's very 1st birthday was on a Friday the 13th! He's had one more since then, but it was also Good Friday, so he said that canceled out any possible bad omens! ;D (He tends to be pretty superstitious!)

Sorry to hear that you are going to need surgery. Hope things go well for you.
I do have to say though that when I was reading this thread, all I could picture was that t-shirt that reads "Runs with scissors" . . . should that have been your Christmas present this year? LOL I know, I know, I'm an evil person . . .

Laura, Laura, Laura. what are we to DO with you??? Oh man this is starting to be quite the ordeal and I am hoping the docs can take extra good care with you and make you as good as new. Of course that means you will be doing a million things at once instead of coming to Uno but siiiiiiigh I know you are one to do everything RIGHT (Welllllllll, maybe not twist ties!!) Stay away from those things and GET BETTER

Lest we forget, just hoping Laurasnowbird is getting fixed up good today. And is back keyboarding away with two hands quite soon. -- Bob
