Justins' teacher has sent two notes home this week, saying he has stopped talking at school and when he does talk he will only whisper . Now at home he is doing AWESOME he has even started saying the K sound and actually putting more words in a sentence and speaking more clearly. He will sing constantly especially if we are watching him. I did go in and observe but didn't notice anything that actually stuck out. He is using an augmetative device at school and I'm thinking he is relying solely on that to communicate at school and sees no reason to actually speak. I have sent a note back to his teacher regarding this theory but haven't heard anything back yet. Now if I can figure a way to sneak by the office and observe without the teacher and Justin seeing me I maybe able to see what really goes on. His classroom just moved and now I have to go pass the office and someone always gets me to sign in and get a pass while they call ahead and give the teacher a heads up. He is in a split class, 1/2 kindy and 1/2 First grade so I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not last year he was not in a split class, oh Justin is in the Kindy class.

Hmmmmmmmm Jackie, I wonder what's up with that? I'm thrilled that he's doing so well at home!!!!! It does sound like he could be thinking at school that it's less trouble to use the communication device. I hope you can sneak in there and help them figure out what's going on.
