I don't have any experience with a peanut allergy, but here is another good website for you to checkout. www.foodallergy.org/

Not to scare you but peanut allergies are usally pretty serious. My second oldest (not DS) had is first reaction while shelling peanuts at Holloween. He blew up like a balloon in no time. By he time we got him to the hospital which was only 3 blocks away he was in shock. It took 3 hours to bring his breathing back to normal. He is now 24 and he has always carried an epipen with him. Now there are laws prohibiting any nuts in school and foods without writting so on the package. So make sure you read packages. Even something simple as getting an ice-cream, make sure they use a different scoop for your child's ice-cream cone. If they used it prior for another ice-cream it may contain still the peanut oil on the scoop. Also by law the restaurants are not allowed to use peanut oil, but some will mix 1/2 with vegetable oil for saving money so always ask in restaurant what oil they are using. If you are told they donnot use peanut oil tell them about your child's allergy and tell them you would hold them responsible if they lied. This actually happened to us. Not everyone figures it can be so dangerous for some. Get your child tested and follow directive. We have not had peanut butter in our house since, and if his girl-friend eats anything with peanuts she cannot kiss him. ;D

Get an epi pen for everywhere you go. It can be very bad.
