I'm sorry! I have heard about that shot and it's supposed to work really well. If you can, try taking a calcium supplement morning and night. Dividing it up help it work better. Good luck!

Thank you everyone for your support. I really appreciate it. I was quite shocked when I found out. I mean, I figured it had to be something like that since I had my bone density test back in January. He (the guy who operated the bone density test) had said if I didn't hear anything that was good news. So I figured everything was okay. Evidently, it is not. So, I see my primary care doctor tomorrow morning at ten. He wants to talk to us and me. I am sure he wants me to start taking the shots right away.I have heard nothing but good news about this medicine. It was approved a few years ago and now it is out there to use. I can't eat very much ice cream. It has something to do with the cream they use. There is that heavy kind of cream that is used in ice cream and it upsets my stomach. For some reason, home made ice cream doesn't do that to me. It depends on the way it was made I guess and what is put in it. I love frozen yogurt, Braums has pretty good frozen yogurt and sherbert. I love sherbert! Lime and Rasberry is are my favorites. I also like yogurt and it's many different flavor's. This is just the yogurt you find in the dairy part of the grocery store. I am not sure I can spell it, it is Yoplait. I eat it with an apple or a snack at night. I also like my Skim Milk. So, I am trying to double up on it. I went through menapause really early. I was in my late twenties when I started experiencing the hot flashes. We all act individually when we receive upsetting news. I just get real quiet and think. This is how I react to things that are upsetting. I had a week to think things out and so I am at a place where I just want to get started on this medicine. It like I told Mom, what else is there to do? You don't stop living. You go on. That is all anyone can do.
