OK you guys, I'm so bummed~Patrick has been sick since last night~throwing up and having diarrhea. He cant keep anything down~not even a sip of something to drink.
He has been so excited for Easter and the Easter Bunny~I just hope he's feeling well enough by Sunday to enjoy himself.
I went out and got him the DVD of Madagascar today to try to cheer him up a little~he wanted to watch it but promply fell asleep. I just hope he doesn't get dehydrated because he is truly not keeping anything down.

Mary,
So sorry to hear he's so sick. In our office, we prescribe phenergan gel...you rub it on the childs wrist, or with younger kids, between the shoulder blades. It helps with the vomitting. It usually comes in suppository form, but this gel is so much easier. You might want to check with his doc to see if he will prescribe it. They also have a acetominaphan gel too, for temps when I child can't keep down regular tylenol. Hope he gets better quick and can enjoy his Easter.....keeping him my prayers.

That doesn't sound like fun at all! Nicholas did this at the end of Feb, vomiting, high fever. He'd throw up, I'd give him a sip of water to rinse his mouth, and he'd throw that up. Kept NOTHING down!! But the good news is, it lasted less than 24 hrs! Hope it's the same for Patrick!

I am so sorry he is sooooo sick. See if you can even syringe some pedialyte or gatorade every 30 mins or so. Hopefully that will perk him up a bit and keep him hydrated so he can enjoy Easter Sunday!!!!!

bummer-but the good news is he won't be getting sick from too much candy! I always put little gifts in their easter basket--new flip flops is a favorite-some sunglasses and a book or something and just a little bit of candy. Maybe some pop tarts or something too-but not to much candy. Sounds like you'll get to put in lots of things to drink!!
Hope he's better by Sunday
