HI!!!!!!!
Not too sure if anyone out there lives in los angeles but I am starting a new playgroup for our kids ages 8-12. It is an informal group whereby we will meet monthly. Our first activity will most likely be the lil chefs where the kids will have a cooking demo they partcipate in and well we know how much our kids seem to like to cook at this age. My girl does for sure. Recently I have been letting her make her own stuff. For example, I will have pita bread in the fridge. She talkes one out fold it in half and hopefully puts the other half away. Then I have already cut up in easier to open glad tupperware tomatoes lettuce onion, lunchmeats or leftover dinner meat kidney beans etc and ranch dressing in a small little pouring jar or she'd coat her whole sandwich with it.The she makes her own and is ssssoooo gee-darned proud of herself.
Anyhow we have quite a few 8-12 year olds who are going to make it to our first meeting and fun time. I actually put it out there as a try after hearing about a lot of kids who are fully included yet still in their teen years having no friends with ds or other disabilities and are lonely Jackie you had told me something like that at one time. SO I got this brilliant idea that we would have a new group and the response has been overwhelming. Pretty cool eh> Also Olivia is starting in an acting group called born to act. She'll start after their next production at the end of July. If you have a chance go to the bron to act players website. I'm not sure exactly what the addy is but I'll try to find it. Check it out K HUGS Steff
BTW jeff is doing okay and is now listed waaaaaaaaaaaay higher as of today. So that is good news. and scary news too. .
