Hello Just got home here also. I had such a great time. I got to meet Deana for the first time and Suzie(Meredeth's Mommy). I think those were the only new faces for us. I didn't get to talk much with Suzie but her daughter came right up to me and told me her name. She was just SO polite and sweet. Deana was awesome her and I had alot in common and I really think we hit it off good.
I could not believe how big Allison and Eric got. Both absolute dolls. All the kids were SO cute and well behaved.
We had such a nice time seeing all the old and new faces. I really would have liked to see more of us going though.
I am so happy we made it I even got to see an old friend of mine that moved to Pittsburgh 3 yrs ago. She also joined us for fun. She never experienced being around ds kids before. She was really impressed to see how smart and personable they are. She only met Ashley once when she was 6 weeks and I was crying about her having the ds. She sadly moved right after that.
Anyway alot of good came out of this trip for my family and I am sorry so many had to miss it.
Hope to see you all again.

I made it home with all three kids LOL Annette what is this with "old" faces??? Just because I have seen you on at least 3 different occasions, does that make me an OLD face girl!!! Watch it! You'll be as old as me soon enough ROFLOL ;D ;D Let's see did I mention my door alarm that I taped on the hotel door went off at 6:20 AM Sat morning. Did John-John escape? Did his mother go out of the room with just what she wore to bed? Did they get locked out of the room? YES Thank God the girls woke up to my knocking I think everyone there believes me when I say I have an escape artist. I saw a couple of little girls that were well on their way to becoming one themselves. As a matter of fact, I was stopping one (Ashley) from going out the front door as my son took off up the elevator (of course I didn't see him go up the elevator, that was just my first guess) I had a great time meeting new & OLD faces LOL Next time DH has to come so I have a babysitter on girls night out. I just walked in, and have to add my 2 cents worth on this very FUN trip!!! Let me see if I can remember who all was there: Annette, her hubby and 4 kids Pat and 3 kids Joyce, her hubby and 2 kids Suzi, her hubby and 4 kids Deanna and her 4 kids Dolly, her hubby and son Barb and 3 girls Susan and 2 kids Christine, her hubby and 2 kids
Here's what we DID.........I got stuck in traffic and didn't arrive at the hotel until 3am Saturday morning!!! And Deanna and her sweet children waited up for us and helped us to our room at that outrageous hour! By that time, I was WIDE awake and couldn't fall asleep. We were up and ready to go to the water park by 8:30am. We all met in the lobby and were a bit concerned about the weather. No sun to be seen, and forcasts of rain..........and Barb on the phone saying it was raining where she was coming from. But we forged on, and it was a GREAT day at the water park. Not a drop of rain all day. Everyone seemed to have a wonderful time. We got home in time to feed all the kiddos and then the ladies headed to Applebees around 10pm. We made an exception this year and took along one very HANDSOME man with us!!!! (LOL Deanna's Justin.........and what a ladie's man he is!) I agree with Pat.......next year, she has to join us!
On Sunday morning, some families checked out and headed for home......much to my dismay! We didn't get to spend nearly enough time with Dolly and Pat and Annette's families! Christine's crew headed for the zoo, and most of us just hung out at the hotel most of the afternoon. Sunday afternoon at 4:30, we went to Kennywood. We could have easily spent 2 full days at that park, so it was hard to see much of it in just 5 hrs. But, we all had fun; despite the unbelievable heat.
Christine's little Emily, the wonder baby, was WONDERful! Even cuter than in her photos and such a loveable little girl! It was great to see her, since we had known her since even before she was born. I did NOT want to say goodbye to her!!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed spending time with everyone. All the kids are growing up so fast and are SO adorable!! I'm not going to rave on and on about each child.....but I just have to say that Barb's little angel (CHERUB is her official nickname now) is just the most precious kid ever!! I took more photos of her than anyone else, because SHE told me to!!! She would point to my camera then point to herself and then GRIN and pose for a picture! If I asked her "do you want me to take your picture"?????, She would say very clearly "YES"!..........and then pose. What a doll!!!
We left yesterday and headed for Kentucky. We got as far as Louisville and stopped........and this morning went to a place called Beech Bend; where we spent the day celebrating Emily's birthday. (It is a combo water park/amusement park with an awesome roller coaster).
Now, to quote Joyce.............WHERE ARE WE MEETING in the summer of 2007????????

Susan, Glad to see everyone made it home safe and sound! I loved meeting up with everyone...and really enjoyed "girls night out"! I even got to snuggle up with Deanna's little man, Justin. He reminds me so much of my Eric...All the kids are totally beautiful, and sweet as can be. I met Pat and her clan early on Saturday morning. What lovely girls! And John is a Doll! The hotel had a terrific "continental" breakfast, (more like a full breakfast with waffles, sausage, eggs, toast, bagels, etc....what a great perk) and we all enjoyed it together. It was so good talking to all the mom's...we have more in common than just our kids, and everyone seemed like we've known each other forever! I just wish I could have spent more time, but had to work on Monday. Next time, I'll plan an extended stay! Susan, thanks to you and Joyce and whoever else had a hand in planning this...it was awesome!

Sound's like everypne's back & accounted for ~ I trust Deanna checked in with someone ? We took her as far as the entrance ramp to I70 then wound up taking her the 3 exits to the truck stop so she could fill up & get her lil' man setteled before hitting the road.(And giving an imprompteau history lesson on the coal mines & steel mills...lol!) Sorry that I didn't get to spend more time just chatting with some of you ladies, but it was a small miracle that I got all 6 of us to both parks~ then my big guys didn't want to leave Sandcastle & we were just getting home at the time you were at Applebee's. See, I wasn't kidding that we could have shown you all the town for a week! Pat~ SO John-john really did try the door ? Wonder if the desk people were watching that on all those cameras? Annette~ sorry we didn't get to chat more. Your kids are just the cutest ! Barb~ I hope you got your hot sauce & saw the science center on the way home. Susan isn't kidding~ you all hafta see her Cherub & the shoe phone ! Christine & Joyce~ Mike just loved chatting with your men !In fact, he wanted to know who stayed & if we were taking anyone to Idlewild yesterday morning. Oh & whoda thought 4 of us have other kids that were all born within 3 weeks of each other on the same year ! Hugs to everyone !

Suzi, I talked to Deanna, and she was thrilled that they had their own private tour guide to get them safely out of Pittsburgh. It was a confusing city for me to get around in for sure! Deanna went home and is now visiting "haunted Savannah". I am crossing my fingers that she will somehow end up in Atlanta by Friday, and bringing Cynthia with her!
Thanks for all you did to help us decide where to go and what to do. It was great spending time with your family again, even if only for a short time!
I just added a new album of some of the pics I took. I can't believe I didn't get a single group shot of all of us. Check out page 14!!!

Hey everyone! Well seems like we're back and everyone's off to Atlanta! Hope you all have a great time! Pittsburgh was great!!! I can't believe it's over!!! It was so great to meet everyone and be with everyone's children. I just wish we had a little more time to talk. Deanna I had such a nice time with you! Great hangin' out with you and getting abused by your little man. Also fun abducting your other man - let him know Ryan was looking for him the next day and asked where we were taking Jared! Great group you have there girl...lot's of love!!! Annette always nice to hang around with you guys! Ryan was aching for Logan and Morgan on Monday. Let's get together when you get back from Virginia. Oh! While we were on a horse and buggy ride in Lancaster there was a little boy with a t-shirt on from the pony run you're going to! Made me think of you guys - have a great time!!! Barb - what a nice time hanging out with you guys, especially at Sandcastle. Allison IS a doll! Joyce and Suzi - Your girls are both lovely! So glad to meet them in person. Al enjoyed hanging out with your husbands. I think he was afraid he was going to be the only man! He told me they were both a "great couple of guys." Pat - I am so glad to spend more than 5 minutes with you in the middle of Sesame Place!!! Your girls were a lot of fun and John-John is a blast! Ryan was looking for him Monday morning too! Dolly - I wish I would have had more time to chat with you, next time, right? I was just way too tired to go out with you all on sat night. I think I was asleep for an hour and you all hadn't even left the hotel yet!!! Next time Pat brings her husband and I get more sleep!!! Susan!!! I just saw the pic in the photo album - we got our pic! Two Emily's - your Emily holding my Emily!!! You have to email that to me when you get back! I can't believe you got my Em smiling! See! She can do it! LOL! Amazing what a good night's sleep can do for a family! Al loved hanging out with Emily on the roller coaster and kept going on and on about how sweet she is. Jordan is amazing. He is exactly the type of brother I hope Ryan turns out to be and suspect that he will. I am so glad to have been with you all in person. I can't believe it's over already! Now I will quote Susan who quoted Joyce .........where are we meeting in the summer of 2007? If anyone wants to do Pittsburgh again our gang is totally into it. We loved our day at Sandcastle and our other day at Kennywood and would love the opportunity to do it all again! Nice city...would love to see more of it and ride the Ducks next time. Right Susan? Love to all! Christine

Well, you're all more than welcome to come back here next year.I just found out they added Segway tours of the city too. (Somehow I can see the guys doing that) Christine, Gee, had I known you were going on to Lancaster on your way home we may have tagged along~ we lived there back in the late 80's. ~ and had we planned the whole thing for a week later, we could have taken the kids to visit Steeler training camp. I gotta go & check out Susan's pix.... Toodles! Suzi
