And boy is it really, really turning into one of those stereotypical Friday the 13th's here!!!!!
Now I know some of you ( CC and Laurasnowbird immediately come to mind here!!!) will say hey, what's so bad about it.......
but we've got about a foot and a half of SNOW!!!!!!
Wet, heavy snow that is killer to shovel and is just destroying trees all around us. Last night it took me almost two and half hours to make a normally 20 to 25 minute trip home from work!!! I'm telling you guys it was like driving through a war zone or something...... several inches of ice on the NYS Thruway which was closed down about half an hour after I finally made it home...... 4 lane roads were down to one lane because of whole trees down and large branches down across the road. We've lost a rather large pear tree and a lot of damage has been done to a large pear tree but for the time being we have power and phone ( obviously since I'm able to post!!!) unlike the folks across the street from me.
Well, must head back outside and do some more shoveling..... the (#*(*&% snow is just tooooo heavy for the snowblower!!! Just make a wish for some warmer weather to hit us soon!!!!!
Ahhhhh........ the joys of living in Buffalo!!!!

I chatted with Barb either Sat or Sunday evening, and they were good. She shared pictures of her neighborhood with me...........YIKES!! Tons of tree limbs down due to the heavy snow; just a MESS! She had power. School was cancelled for a few days for her girls.

Yeah, my brother lives outside of Buffalo and he got tons of snow too....lost power for a few days, and water I think, as well. They didn't plow his road for atleast 2 days, either. Funny, because when I saw it on the news - I thought, oh boy, at least my brother didnt get all that snow -- because they live right outside the snowbelt and whenever you hear they got big snow, they usually don't get it as bad...and oh well, they got over 2 feet! Glad everyone is safe, Barb! laurie
