LOL Rajitha... we just got back from Party City!
Ok... Regan is going to be a flapper.. and I found a clearance GREEN LANTERN for Russell LOL.. the ONLY thing for $10 that didn't have a hat or mask. And well, I caved and bought two clearance things for Reece ;D I am not a fan of my kids wearing their Halloween costumes to school for their parties, I am always afraid they will get ruined so usually Reece uses something we already have around here. Well, I bought her a $5 Barbie Swan Lake Princess to wear or play dress up in... and the cutest witch costume. We have a couple witch costumes already but they are getting small and this one was VERY cute for $10. I think she now might wear the witch one for Halloween and the Swan Lake for school. The 12 Dancing Princess outfit is a bit too big in the chest area so we are siwtching it around.
So.. we are done... finished.. time to TRICK OR TREAT! Pray Russell has more fun this year!

Awww A~ you know Chris too was a late bloomer on enjoying Halloween and getting in costume and and such. OMG every year I had to find something that did not require a mask over the face or something on the head, I can so relate girl. Actually it has been just the past few years that he would dress up without a fuss. This year though in his school he can not dress up as they go off to work stuff each day so they have to dress appropriate. Sad part now is he really kind of likes doing the costume thing somewhat but can't for school now. BUT all in all his most favorite part is to hand the candy out OMG he just loves doing that ;D Wishing you ALL a fun and safe Trick or Treat Day CC ~

Well, right now there is big talk that Halloween trick-or-treating will be cancelled here!!!! It's truely amazing how much clean up is still left to be done after our snowstorm on the 12th, so many streets are STILL lined with piles of tree branches as high as 10 feet tall!!! I just got off the phone with FEMA and am hoping that we can get some assistance with deductibles from our homeowners...... we had to have several trees removed and had to have electric, phone, and cable wires reattached to the house and now I have people coming in to get an estimate on repairing the siding that was damaged. So really Halloween is pretty close to the last thing on my mind at this point!!!
BUT, lucky for the girls we had all of the costumes done before the storm!!! Alison is going to be a little black cat....... Sarah is being a "clown mummy", yup you read that right!!! Sarah's costume consists of white sweats wrapped with gauze, a rainbow clown wig, a big red nose and then we'll made her face up!!! I have absolutely NO CLUE where she got this idea from, I can only guess that it has something to do with the fact that Caitlin is utterly terrified of both clowns and mummies!!! Caitlin is going to be some character from an Anime movie........ she be dressing up for school and then to give out candy while I take the younger ones somewhere in search of free candy..... looks like we'll be going to one of the area malls to trick-or-treat this year!!!

This year Marissa's school is doing something different. Instead of a "horribles parade" they are doing a storybook parade. Every child is supposed to dress like a character from a book and bring that book to school with them. After lunch they will parade around the common and back to the school for a party.
Marissa is going to be Barbie from the Prince and the Pauper. Yup... we actually have a Barbie book with this story...lol! Andrew is going to be either Tigger or Mickey Mouse....we have both costumes. My two older boys feel they are WAY too big to dress up this year...you know..they are just too cool for Hallowwen I guess...LOL!
I hope everyone has a great Hallowwen!!!!

Did I mention that Ryan doesn't like chocolate (can't be my kid!) and seldom eats candy of any kind? Now, if you load his bag with krispie treats and fruit snacks - watch out!!!
Jodi (who STILL does not have a costume for either kid)

Jodi - Jason doesn't like candy either. With my bad influence over the last couple of years he does now like brownies & choc. chip cookies, but nooooo candy. Oh well, more for me to eat!! LOL

Trisha, Our school has done the " dress like a character from a book" theme for the Halloween parties for the past 10 years. It can be a pain, but I totally understand their goal. They say NO scary stuff whatsoever, no matter what age. Typically, I found the costume my kids wanted, and then we went to the library to find a book about that, or found a book we had at home. Occasionally, Jordan asked to dress like a book character for school and then get another costume for trick or treating. I'm actually pretty bummed that my kids are outgrowing this fun 'holiday"! You guys are lucky...our school does the book thing in the spring & Dr Seuss week & anti drug week & spirit week for homecoming...all requiring costumes or special dress. I bought a gorgeous Minnie Mouse ensemble for Merideth from my friend which her daughter wore last year. the super-duper , straight from DisneyWorld one with all the accessories...and now my girlie insists she wants to be a ghost !_So , my mom humored her & sent her a ghost costume, As in white, toss a sheet over you, but she bought it somwhere in CA for her & sent it ! URGH! Sam HAD to have the full Jack Sparrow garb , but the boots are on backorder till Nov 7th ! Alot of good that does. The older 2 got funny tshirts to wear to the school dance...Nick's is something about flying monkeys stealing candy & Matt's is something to the effect of Candy being the only thing better than video games.
Happy Halloween !

Hey Suzi! Can the ghost costume fit over the Minnie Mouse one. I'm thinking she can go as a "ghost mouse" and maybe half way through she'll be tired of the sheet and waalaa, she will be Minnie Mouse. All right, All right - it was just an idea!
