Hi I seem to remember that we a lot seem to have trouble with our kids scalps being dry, flaking having yuck scalps. Heres what has been working for us.. I use either selsum blue or head and shoulders then after I work it into her scalp I do this. I take a nail scrubbing brush ya know the kind that u can wrap around one hand and scrub the other. I scrub her scalp with it and so does Liv when I am done. Then rinse rinse rinse after 10 minutes on the scalp. He scalp is now 100% better and she likes to scrub it after I do it. makes her feel big. ((HUGS)) steff

I use Nizoril (sp) shampoo on Lia every other night. Keeps her dry flaky scalp healthy. Tired TGEL, but it smells like tar. nancy

My mom used to use the tar shampoos on me. I've found as I grow older that using a good moisturizing conditioner, or placing baby oil on my scalp and then washing well helps just as well. Clarice has really dry hair in the back, so I use VO5 hot oil showerworks, which doesn't have to be heated. It helps with the dry hair and seems to be keeping her scalp clear. When her scalp gets bad, it looks just like cracle cap.

I've found Tea Tree Oil shampoos work well without smelling nasty. I used to use the Paul Mitchell one, but now I use one I order from Meleleuca.
