I just wanted to let you know I had to take Lauren in to the hospital yesterday and she was admitted. She is on IV's and is really sick. In a matter of 24 hours she was dehydrated. There is a nasty bug going around. My youngest had it but with some medication she overcame it. Lauren scared me. She looked horrible.
I hope that no one has to go through this bug. It is the worst I have seen.
* Lauren was released today. They are still waiting on test results but she has not been sick in 24 hours. Thank God! I was so worried about her. I know I can overreact but at times when she is so sick I start to think about life without her. It would STINK! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

Renee, AW...poor little thing! You're right...this bug is NASTY! A few weeks ago, our office was knee deep in phone calls with this thing...and our waiting room was filled with sick, sick little (and big) kids. We had to admit quite a few of our patients with this mostly because of dehydration. Hopefully, with the fluids and rest, Lauren will have a short hospital stay. Prayers coming your way from Ohio. Keep us posted. Dolly

Renee, Thanks for taking the time to tell us. I'm so sorry she is sick!! We've had some nasty bugs around here (in our town) too. So far, the only one we've gotten in our house was one that I got first........fever of 101, horrendous headache, and a cough. I never get a fever, so I really felt SICK. I will pray that Lauren gets well SOON and comes home. Keep us posted!

Please keep us posted! How stressful-
My sis and her 8 children have all had a terrible bug--the 4 year old Sarah is the one with Leukemia and they've had to take her to the hospital twice due to the fever. She got antibiotics and is on the mend..
Hoping for a quick recovery! cindy

If this is the stomach bug, I feel for her. They actually closed one elementary school here, over 200 students and teachers sick, they are deep cleaning the whole school.
I had the bug Sunday and Monday, fever of 101.8, and very frequent trips to the bathroom. Really wiped me out. Took the girls to get their hair cut today, then to the library, and was absolutely exhausted.
Prayers for Lauren and hopes that she is better soon.
