verdit is in folks
my main man Chase and I spent the nihgt last night at the hospital and he has sleep apnia..ohh I just spelt that wrong. I am in a hurry to get ready for work. The guys at the hospital were so great and Chase did so well because they were guys I think, he relates great to men he meets. They were even kind enough to put us in a big ole queen size bed and told me to climb in with him not sleep in a chair, bless their hearts! they treated us great. This am when I snuck out and Nichole came to relieve me, Mike, that great nurse/tech spent fifteen minutes going over the results with me when I said I could NOT wait a week for Dr to get the results back. End result.... he will require a cpap for sure. BTW...he never made it to rem sleep and they found this very odd, I had to ask what that meant and they said that is the part of sleep you get to where you dream, hmmm interesting huh? He stopped breathing 6 times an hour which I thought was horrible but they didt think was too bad, but they did agree that he probably did better because I made him sleep on his back and every time he woke up I made him stay on his back and hummed hiim back to sleep and was hugging him all night, at home, he gets up and busies himself in his room if you know what I mean! Okay I need to go...oh one more thing, they have come out with a new cpap , it is not a big mask, it is a canula (is that the right word?) type thing with prongs that go into your nose as with his oxygen already so it wont be as big of an thing to get used to, although he still is not used to his oxygen and it is a battle all thru the night still. But mom is tougher then Chase and she will win the battle. I put a call in to his father, got the answering machine and left the machine saying he can choose to be on board or he can chose to not play and simply not see the kids, no threat, just simple fact, I will not risk the life of my son because he doesnt want to be bothered with oxygen and now with a cpap.
hugs to all, have a good day, I am so thankful to God it is not his heart and it is fixable by a cpap. I thought a cpap would be the end of the world and I find I am just so thank ful that is all it is.
God is good!!!!
love,
Robin
