Leah,
I had Angela on my mind. Just wondered how she is doing? Anything new from the Dr's?
Take Care, Dawn

I'm sure Leah will update in much more detail, but here's a link to her blog: gardenofeagan.blogspot.com/Kim, Logan (Ds, 4) and Carson (19 months)

She is actually in the middle of a DR appointment right now and she has been in contact with a DR in Boston. I am sure she will update tonight.

Hi there, Thanks for asking about us!
We're waiting to get a day/time to head to Mayo for another series of tests. Should be within the next few days or so. We're only about an hour and 20 minutes from Mayo so not so bad.
I've been in contact with Dr. Scott in Boston, and our Neuro is also contacting Dr. Stienberg at Standford in CA. (incidently, just tonight on TLC was a show about MMD, a kid having surgery by this doctor at stanford! I missed it, so am hoping to catch it again soon.)
We met with our neuro today, who couldn't believe that Angela's gait today is MUCH better than it was on Friday, which is very typical of MMD. Loose skills only to regain them a few minutes (or days) later. She still has a difference in her smile from one side to the other. Oh, but her speech is VERY difficult to understand! She sounds a bit like she's drunk, with everything running together. She did go to school for a couple hours today and they noticed it as well.
Tomorrow morning we have a couple county people coming to see if Angela qualifies for a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) waiver that will give us some additional funding for respite or PCA care. Right now I get NO BREAK and believe me.... I need one! If only for a couple hours here and there.
So that's what I know for now. I'll know sometime tomorrow when we go to Mayo. Thanks again for asking about us! It means alot to me.
