As I knew he would! He went in like a pro, waving bye-bye to mom and dad. And when I got back to him after the surgery, in the recovery room...he was sitting up drinking like a champ. The only thing that bothered him was that stinkin' IV, which he tried several times to tear out! Eak! He went home later that day and acted like nothing happened to him at ALL! He ate and drank like nothing ever happened to him. Yesterday, he was a little more careful...but today, eating and drinking and playing and again...acting like nothing ever happened to him. He must have a high pain tolerance! Yikes! The ENT did take his adenoids out. She said they were HUGE! As were his tonsils. So, my little guy will probably feel MUCH better now! Thanks ya'll for the nice words and thoughts! And...Aidan thanks you too! hehe (this was taken just last week, a few days before his tonsillectomy!!) Staci

WTG, Aidan. Glad you did so well. But tell mom to watch out, sometimes day 5 or 6, when the scabs slough off, can be worse than day 2 or 3. Oh, and tell her thanks for sharing a great photo, too. -- Bob

Thank you all! I love that picture...I just wish Declan could be in there, too...then it would be just perfect! All of mommy's angels...but he was being a turkey that day haha Aidan had a rough day today...since he goes for a few more hours at night without his meds, he wakes grumpy and not wanting to swallow and drink/eat for a while. After those meds hit, he's a new boy! So, I will definitely be keeping up with those for quite a while...especially days 5-7, when I was told the scabs would be coming off? Yikes! Sounds horrible! Gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about it. Anyway...thank you for the advice about keeping up with those meds! He definitely needs them! Poor guy! When would you say your kids were "in the clear"? Meaning...back to normal? A couple of weeks after surgery? Just wondering when Aidan will be pain free. He broke my heart today, being in pain and not being able to verbalize his pain, therefore the pinching and hitting started and I try so hard to comfort him and he just won't let me It really does break my heart. I wish I could be going through it for him! But...all in all...he's doing great still! Thank goodness for pain medication, huh?
