I do believe it is one of those extra 21 things. John-John had a curl right behind his ears. That's the first place his dad gets one when he needs a cut Therefore, I did not cut that boy's hair until he was almost 3 Pat

Without naming names, one of our two famous cookie makers for our Ohio trips has a daughter Arianna who has naturally gorgeous curly black hair, Jello Jckie's son Justin has a wave to his and I've met a couple more wth a sight curl and wave. But yes, it seems most are poker straight as is Chase's. hugs, Robin

Emily's hair has just a tiny bit of a wave........but nothing I would really call a CURL at all.

I've always wondered about that, too! I have pretty curly hair, so does my older son, and their dad has some curl if he lets it get long enough. But Nicholas, straight as can be! And blond, where the rest of us have dark hair. I've had so many comments from people wondering where his hair comes from!

Great! Another reason to stare at people with DS when I see them. Emily's hair is pin straight. Super fine and oh so blonde - like spun gold. Does not like to stay in a pony tail.

Hmmmm...... now you've got me thinking...... Alison's hair is as straight as can be. And thinking that all of the kids at her school who have DS have straight hair too.

This is a DS trait, but if a family has a VERY STRONG gene for curly hair, a child with DS can have it. I've seen lots of kids with DS who have curly hair. (or alot of wave.) Angela's is the typical stick-straight, but then again so is mine and her dad's.
