Hi everyone!! I haven't been here in quite awhile. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their summer.
We have been having some problems with our comp and I haven't been able to get on here. Now that I can get on ...I am SOOO HAPPY!!!! ;D I have really missed all of you! Although I can get back on here again, I have officially become a S L O W S K Y . That's right....it took FOREVER to load this page. I'm not even going to try to "catch up" because I would be here all night! LOL!
Let me give you all a quick update on how our summer has gone.
Andrew finished ESY last week and really had a great time. The aide he will have when school begins in a few weeks was one of the teachers, and he really seems to have bonded with her rather quickly. I, ofcourse, was thrilled that he liked her so much. Takes a little of the fears I had about school away...kwim?
He has also started to say some words. If you don't know him, he is very hard to understand, but it all sounds beautiful to me. ;D
Let's see...what else??? Ohhh...potty training. Hmph. That's it...Hmph. He knows when he has to go now, and will even proceed to take off his clothes and diaper. Sounds great huh? Now if only he would take off his clothes in the bathroom and actually use the potty instead of the floor...heck, we'd be all set. So, Hmph is all I can muster at this time, otherwise I'll get sensored. ;D
All in all we have had a good summer. My little man is quite the little fish. He LOVES the water. For those of you who don't know, we live on a lake and it is actually scary how little fear he has of the water. He will think nothing about walking right out and getting in over his head. When we pull him back, he screams at us, and goes right back out again. Sigh....
Speaking of scary.....we installed dead bolt locks on our outside doors to try to keep my little escape artist IN the house. They worked great for about a week. Now, he grabs a chair and unlocks them, puts the chair back, and closes the door behind himself. So if we don't hear or see him, it takes awhile before we realize he is gone. We have found him behind the driver's seat in my car more then once. When I asked him what he was doing he signed "ice cream". I asked him if he was going to go to the ice cream store and he looked at me as if to say "ummm yeah...what do you think I was doing?" Yeah....fun huh?
Ok...before this gets to be pages and pages long, I'll stop here. If any of you have actually read this whole thing, phew...you're good! LOL! Sorry to ramble, but I am so excited to get back on here!!! Hopefully I'll be talking with all of you soon.
