I followed some of your advice and talked to L's doctor. We are going to see a Pulmonologist. I think she has sleep apnea. Her behavior has been really going out the window. Day 3 of school and the teacher said she hit and kicked the Para. Still waiting on the insurance for the hearing aides. I am really at a loss. I am trying to eliminate things that may be causing the behavior problems. I don't want to jump right to the medication. It is so frustrating. She has been picking on her sister a lot too. *sigh* I just want my love bug to be happy. Oh, we also go to the Ortho surgeon at the local childrens hospital on the 7th for her Pes planus, or flat feet issues. Her feet have really been hurting her Anyway, I appreciate you all giving me all these suggestions. I am going to ask the doctor to check and eliminate all of this. Say a prayer for her Para and teacher. This may be a very loooong school year.

Renee, Good Luck with everything....I know how frustrating it can be when you can't figure out whats going on with your child. Is Lauren non-verbal? That makes it even harder...Hopefully the docs can put their fingers on something and get it straightened around. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers....keep us posted.

Awww Renee, it'll smooth out. You are moving in all the right directions & I just know you'll get it all worked out. Meanwhile keep posting so we can respond with (((hugs))) And let us know what the various docs say.

Hang in there girl, I truly can relate how frustrating it can be sometimes in getting the answers. HUGS to both you and Lauren as I am sure Lauren in no way wants to be this way, something is going on and I hope you get the answers soon. BEST of Luck CC

I think you are very smart trying to rule out all medical first. Hannah has severe sleep apnea and the last two school years were a waste of time. She has been on CPAP for almost four months now and is a much nicer, happier kid now. If it does turn out to be apnea, I have all kinds of info.

Abby's dad was in kindergarten with a little guy who was just a nightmare. He hit, he kicked and he bit. Someone decided to have his eyes checked, he got glasses, and he was an entirely different child. While he was completely verbal, I guess he couldn't say that he couldn't see if he don't know what 20/20 vision was.
