Hey! Welcome to Unomas! I'm not sure I understand your question, so here are some of my own: did you take tours of all the possibilities, or of just the possibilities for Kyle? Was there a reason behind the "no" from the program specialist? Is there any way to add to one of the other classes the features that you liked about the one you chose? What things attracted you to the class you chose? What was lacking or just wrong about the other classes?
Again, welcome to uno! I just know that the wonderful parents here can get your questions answered and encourage you all through the process of getting Kyle just what he needs.

K, if you don't mind sharing WHY did they say NO to the class you liked for Kyle??

List for them all of the reasons why the class you liked would work and meet Kyle's IEP goals. We had a class we really liked at our home school, but was turned down because the pace of the class was too fast. When I saw who was in the class, I agreed and have been happy with the placement we agreed was a better fit.

WELCOME!!!!!
And yes.. I too would want to know (in writing from them) why your son can't have a certain placement. It must be "appropriate" and "least restrictive environment" for him.... If you really like this one place, put your request in writing along with why this would be appropriate for him.
Can you share a bit more??
A.
