Lauren was given braces for her feet. The Ortho surgeon said he doesn't do surgery unless things don't improve with braces so here we go. The braces were molded today and should arrive in 2 weeks. I hope she will keep them on. My flat footed littled peanut We were told today that our insurance won't cover hearing aides. Looks like we are going to have to hold off a while on that. The good news is he did X rays of her neck...a full set and he said it looks perfect. So we can do Special Olympics! Renee'

That is really sad about the insurance not paying for the hearing aides. We have issues like that....Justin needed a stander and they never approved it. Now at 4 1/2 yrs old....his hips pop out and he may need surgery down the road.
The braces should be great. We have had 2 sets now....not for flat feet, but for support to the ankles. We have used DAFO's and hinged DAFO's. He seems to do well with them. He can pull them off if he messes with them. BUT, for the most part he just plays with the velcro. I think you guys will be ok with them.

Renee-
I would check with an audiologist about foundations in your area that pay for hearing aides. They do exist.
