Hey all !! I do have good news for a change.....you were all so kind in listening to my bus monior saga over summer school.....well ..... First day of school was last Wednesday and the bus pulls up....same driver we have had for a couple of years....and the NICEST monitor !! She was standing by the door, took Erin by the hand, put her in the seat !! Everything I thought a monitor would do ! Yeah !! So at least now I know that there are qualified loving people out there !! Wish I could school was a smotth and great.....but that is another post

Hooray! Glad to hear it!
My daughter (non-ds) rides the bus with JT and the rest of the kiddos with special needs. There is a young man who has bm "issues" on the bus. To say the least there isn't enough gold in the world to compensate her fairly.

Thanks for sharing. I can definitely tell you it makes a whole lot of difference when the bus driver and monitor or loving people. Adam's bus driver is a retired teacher fro special Ed and his monitor is a mom whose son takes the bus with Adam, so we have never had any trouble. Actually when they abused Adam at his old school a few years back (still in the court process) the mother(monitor ) was the one who was the first to tell me what was going on.
