I know there is plenty of time to talk about WHERE we can have this summer's Uno Mas get together, and we've already tossed around some great spots. But, I need to clear a spot on our summer calendar SOON. My kids only get an 8 week summer break, and several of those weeks are already gone (camp for the kids, my co-worker's vacation, etc). So, I'd love to know when the best time for everyone to get together would be.
In the past, we tried to do it in June to avoid the heat.....but many schools aren't out until at least mid June. Last year, we did it around July 15th and that was ok. Not sure the heat hampered anything we did. However, LOL we mostly SWAM!! And hey....that is my idea of a great get together! Hanging out at the pool and watching the kids play together is always fun!
What does everyone think?

I forgot to add..........I still think it's a great idea to do several get togethers in different locations so that LOTS of people can get to at least one of them. And hey......if we do more than one, maybe some people can go to more than one!

I'm going to wait and see what you guys come up with. We are planning on taking a two-week camping trip this summer (end of June/first of July) from Michigan to Montana/Wyoming. So . . . either I will cross paths with wherever you guys are at during our trek across the country or will have to plan on doing a Michigan get together.

Well....if my family goes to the NDSC...that will pretty much be it for us this year because we have to spend another week with the grandparents. So, if thats the only other family vacation...we will go the week before the conference and hit Six Flags in Atlanta and the aquarium, maybe the water park and children's museum. Thats the week of July 19th.

Marissa gets out of school on June 6th so we are free after that until beginning of July. Emily's wedding is July 8th so we will be in Georgia (Jeckyll Island) for several days before then. And I'm sure I will get to make a few trips to Nashville TN after that to take truckloads of stuff to the newlyweds LOL! Middle and end of July are free, and beginning of August also.

Anyway my kids are done school June 6.
We will be in Virginia July 24th to the 28th for camping at Chincoteague island(home of the wild ponies) It was our cheapest vacation ever.
We could do something there.

Pittsburgh works quite well for us...... I know there's lots to do there too. The weekend that Susan mentioned in June works out for as as well. We're pretty much free any old weekend we decide on.
