Terry (Susan's husband) called at about 5:00, he had heard from the doctor that she was out of surgery, and had done well. She was still in recovery but he hadn't had an opportunity to see her yet.
She is getting the e-mails we send, he said she got the one I sent this morning only ten minutes after they arrived, LOL! He said she really appreciates getting them....so keep them coming!!!

Just talked to Susan...today she is feeling great...she was sitting in a chair with her leg flexed to 90 degrees!!!! I can't believe that...also she has walked about 150 steps and did fine...I think she will recover really fast and really well. She will be soooo happy she finally did this.
Hi...it's Wed about 5 PM my time (CDT)...and I just talked with Susan for a half hour. She said she didn't mind me telling you that this is NOT A GOOD DAY !!! She said she can use lots of thoughts and prayers...she was not really prepared for this pain.
Today she is also light headed and there is a possiblity she might need some blood...she doesn't know yet. She did make it through her therapy but says right now she just doesn't feel like doing anything.
I had told her from my replacement experience that today and tomorrow would probably be her worst hospital days...she still hopes to go home tomorrow.
She also said she has loved getting the emails and has received a lot. So keep her in your thoughts.
Someone else might want to check on her tomorrow...I reminded her I will be leaving Ed here to tend the homefires as I leave on my trip...and will be in transit most of the day.
