Hi Kathy, Aidan (who is now 4) got his first tooth when he was 13 months old. After that, they came in quickly, and crooked, but that's ok He has a great smile! They're not too bad. When I took him to the dentist for the first time over the summer, the dentist said he is missing his two incisors (is that what they're called??) on both sides. That's a bummer, BUT...on the plus side...he said that missing teeth isn't necessarily a bad thing...that due to overcrowding in their smaller mouths, it can be a good thing. He has another appt in a couple of months, but all in all, his teeth are in good shape. One of my good friends, who has a 3 year old with DS, her daughter didn't get her first teeth until she was nearly 2! It can vary so much in our kiddos! Staci

My daughter cut her first tooth shortly after her first birthday. She only had that one tooth for almost four months. It was too funny! ;D Her teeth were very slow to come in until the summer before her second birthday. She cut nine teeth in three months.
That one tooth always reminded me of this joke: (no offense to those from West Virginia!!)
Do you know what the best pick up line is in West Virginia?
Nice tooth! ;D

Russell was 5-6 months old. He actually patterned a typical child when teething. Most get their teeth later and a bit more sporatic...

Logan got his first tooth when he was 18 months old. Now, at nearly 21 months, he has 6 teeth (2 upper front teeth and 4 molars . . . one up and one down on each side). ;D

Cooper got his first tooth at about 9 months old and the second at 10 months old. They are both on the bottom. He is now 13 months old and that is all we have so far. His teeth came in very very pointed, very sharp. We took him to the dentist and he "drilled" them down. Now they are cute little teeth.

Emily did not have a tooth in her head until she was almost two!....and her first ones were her ...molars....very odd. Also the dentist told her she had no secondary teeth for many of hers...but that her baby teeth seemed well rooted and she would probably be fine. She has a full mouth of teeth now...went thru three years in braces...and has a pretty nice smile at age 24.....She did have some funny little pointy teeth that gave her an occasional Dracula look until braces put them where they belonged.
Jackie PS...never has had a cavity

Alison got her first tooth on her first birthday! Bottom front one. Now at 20 months she has her 2 bottom front teeth and 2 top molars! She's got 2 more that are about ready to pop thru ( but I've been thinking that for about 2 months now!!!)

He was 12 months then got 8 in 6 weeks. They were the two front top and bottoom and molars. Then nothing for a while, then he got his 2 year molars at 18 months then the front ones "filled in" byt the time he was a little over 2. Some of those front ones are very pointy and he is missing one incisor, but has it on the other side, but the one that showed up is in a row of it's own. Hello, orthodontia bills, but coming form this family, that was a given anyway!
Incidentially - his little sister has ten teeth at 14 months. The four in front on the top and bottom and...molars! They are following about the same teething pattern so far, but it's differfent from the "norm" so maybe it's a familial trait!

My little bean just got her first tooth at 7 months. It is one of the bottom center ones. It doesn't look like any more are coming in yet, but I didn't notice the first one until 2 days before it cut through. Laura is so good, she never kicked up a fuss about it.
