Tickets for Sandcastle/Kennywood

I need to know the exact number of people going to Sandcastle and who will need the combo pass or just the Sandcastle pass.
Here is the deal the woman from Kennywood called me yesterday with all of the information. We have to buy at least 10 tickets to get the group rate and it is much cheaper than the regular rate.

$22.95 - Combo pass for Sandcastle all day on Saturday from 11-6 or 7 and then Kennywood would be from 5-10 pm

There is a discount for kids between 46 inches and 3 years fro $10.95 for Sandcastle, then Kennywood would be $9.95 but I would have to purchase these separately to get that rate and they don't count in the group total. But that total ticket would be $20.90.

Also if someone only needs a Sandcastle pass it is $14.50.

I have to get back to her by Thursday with our numbers and then I can go and pick up the tickets on Friday when we get in. She said that way we will have our tickets and not have to wait at the gate for everyone to get there in case someone is running late.
I can pay for the tickets and collect the money from everyone if that is how we want to work it. Even if we buy the tickets on Saturday at the park one person goes in to pay for them and gets the tickets. I guess if we get them on Friday the only drawback is that they are already purchased and we have to use them or lose our money. If we wait until Saturday we are not stuck with tickets if for some reason we don't go.

So if everyone can post and give me a count I will tally it up and let them know how many we have. If you could do it as soon as possible so I can get it all together.

They do not allow any food inside of Sandcastle but they sell it there. They are also sending me some park information as well.

Hopefully the weather will cooperate with us!!!

Thanks so much for working on this Joyce!!! The Pace family needs 3 adult combo tickets for Sandcastle Saturday and Kennywood on Sunday. I can't believe one week from today we'll all be together!

Yes thank you Joyce!!! Count the Fiorello's in as well please. As long as under 2 are free we will only need 3 tickets. My son Ryan is 48 inches and is 6 y/o, so I guess we pay full price for him? Wow, the countdown begins!!!!

Thank you Joyce, looks like it would be 2 adults and 3 kids for Sandcastle only. We are leaving Sunday for home. Also I actually have 4 kids but Lisa is only 18 months do I have to pay for her?

Allison's mom - I think your name is Barb. Are you planning on the combo tickets as well? I think you mentioned that you are getting in on Saturday morning about 11 am. I just need to know before Thursday so I can give them a count.

Also Suzi F do you still need sandcastle only tickets? and how many?

Yes, let's see~ I think I need 4 because Meri is under 46" & I'm not sure if Mike is coming after driving back from Boy Scout camp Sat morning.
Oh & anyone going to ride needs a ticket at Kennywood even if they're under 48" unless something changed this season (I had that happen a couple yrs ago & wound up paying more for the "oer ride" rate once we were inside the gate with the little one)

Also I know Kennywood does not offer discounts for the kids that's what they told me on the phone.

Sandcastle said kids under 2 are free.

Yup...I need 4 Sandcastle & 1 child unless we decide we can't hook up at the time everyone else is meeting due to my campers.
...and you're correct, Kennywood only has 1 price admission

Sorry to be soooo late in responding to this!!! We are without a working computer.....storms on Thurday fried a whole lot of our electrical in the house. Finally had a chance to get here to the library. Anyway........


I'll need 4 combo passes...... if I read correctly, I'm better off getting the regular combo pass for Alison, especially if she does end up riding anything at Kennywood, right???

Alison only needs the combo if she'd taller than 46" ~ otherwise she doesn't need the full rate for Sandcastle. (Meri must be really tiny cause she's way under the 46" at 5yrs)

Ok, now I'm really confused and befuddled.......

Alison is 3 and most definitely well under 46" tall........ so I guess what I really need is junior tickets for both parks for her.......

I ordered the tickets and will pick them up at the gate on Saturday. We probably want to get at the park by 10:30. The workers are usually there at that time, maybe I can get in and get our tickets at that time. She said that it would be a good idea to do that. I might be able to leave tickets at the gate for whoever is not there when everyone else is.
Barb what time are you getting there?

The ticket prices include all taxes so the combo tickets are 22.95
the Sandcastle only ones are $14.50
the kids under 46 inches are 10.95 for sandcastle only and if you are going to Kennywood we purchase those for 9.95 as a kennywood night pass group rate. Which makes their ticket 20.90. I will total everyone's up and give you your total on Friday or Sat depending on when I see you.

I am all packed and ready to go except for the cooler stuff which I will do in the morning.
