Well, we were at Children's well before the crack of dawn this morning to have Alison's Spica cast changed and another set of arthrograms on her hips done. The good news is that her hips are no longer dislocating!!!! The joints are still quite unstable but the improvement is the news we so desperately needed to hear. She'll go back in 6 weeks for another cast change and arthrograms. Looks like it will be another 12 to 16 weeks for the cast followed by a splint/brace for another 6 - 9 months. She continues to amaze me with how well she has been handling the whole situation, even with the very warm weather we've been having!!! Never thought I'd hear my self saying this, but I am ready for some cold weather..... there's something wrong with the kids asking if they go swimming in October in Buffalo!!!! To think it will be a year the end of the week that we had a surprise storm that dumped almost 2 feet of wet, heavy snow on the area!!!
Hope all is well out there in Unoland!!!

Glad to hear Allison is doing so well...I'm sure it hasn't been easy for her. And I'm with you too on the weather...putting up scarecrows and pumpkins in 90% weather just doesn't seem right! We will keep Allison in our thoughts and prayers. Thanks for the update.

Oh Barb, that's wonderful news!!! I'm amazed by how well she's handling that body cast! I'm thrilled to hear it is working like the docs hoped. Keep us posted, Susan

Hey girlfriend!
Thanks for sharing that GOOD news! Seems like your little missy is headed in the right direction. Good thing you caught it while she's so little, way to go Mom!
I'm with ya about the weather, but you already knew that, LOL!!! It does seem weird to be putting fall stuff out when the weather is so WARM!!! We had the air on for the last few days because the temperature was about 90 degrees. In Michigan!! In October!!!! I'm literally worried that our pumpkins will rot before we get to carve them, LOL!!!
And by the way, I know I'm not meant to live in a warm climate. I have limited tolerance for the whole watering thing.....I'm literally hoping for a frost so I can quit watering my plants! I love flowers and I plant an insane amount of stuff every year, but I'm positively gleeful about tearing it out in the fall, ROTFL!!!
P.S. I haven't had a chance to forward the stuff we talked about the other day, but I'll get it to you today!!! HUGSSSSS!!!!!
