Heres the short story. They are planning a spring event, and are currently looking for input. I received this from another Mom, I believe it was generated from the Indiana Down Syndrome Society.
Down syndrome and Autism
Children who have been diagnosed with both Down syndrome and an Autism Spectrum Disorder have many unique needs. We are excited to announce that a brand new spring event is being planned to provide parents of children with both Down syndrome and an Autism Spectrum Disorder with information and materials to help meet the many needs of their children. In an effort to ensure that this event will be relevant and useful to parents, we are currently trying to gather more information from parents about their needs. To this end, on October 23rd, we will be hosting an interactive discussion between parents/caregivers, therapists and professionals. We hope you will join us for what we are sure will be an exciting and informative event!
