The last time I stayed in the city I was 18, so that was 22 yrs ago LOL We stayed by 42 street or close by there at a Best Western. We had TONS of fun!!! I've also stayed on Long Island when I was in my 20's. I can't remember but I think I've flown into both Newark and La Guardia. But I know I've flown into Newark. I think it was cheaper for us to fly there for our trip.
Have fun!! I'd love to go back!!!!!

I will email my girlfriend who lives in Manhattan & ask what she thinks. She's flown in & out from everywhere - and usually can give me the name of several good hotels. Of course everything in NYC is $$$!!!!!! We're on Long Island - only 45 mins from NYC via train - but I haven't been there in a few years.... laurie

We stayed there last year for the National NDSS Buddy Walk. Let me try and think of the hotel. It was very convienient, had a great breakfast and very comfortable. I believe it was around 48th---just a few blocks from Time Square. What part of town would you like to be in? I used to live in NY but that was in a past life--BD--before Dani. Do you want to stay in a certain budget. If you are flying in--we had a terrible experience with our car transfer service. It was more cost effective and less hassle to take private limo's or taxis. I will try and wrack my brain. Have fun. Great place. I used to be a flight attendant and I would recommend La Guardia as it is closest--otherwise EWR is fine . JFK it too far away.

From my girlfriend who lives in Manhattan:
"If she is going to be staying in Manhattan – I like Newark, hands down. It’s closer and easier to get to and from Manhattan. The flights are usually cheaper than JFK or LaG also. So I would totally recommend Newark. Every time I can get a flight from there vs. the others I do (for the reasons I just said)."
She said she's going to look for her hotel list, and get back to me
