Interesting that you asked this today Sue!! I have thought about it so much today!! LOL I've been thinking about it cause one of my co-workers mentioned today that she wanted the Friday before Labor day off.........and I thought "oh NO you don't"!!! She has taken that day off for the past 2 years, and it has made it really hard for me to even consider a Labor day get together! This year, I'm standing firm and I'm going to be off that day..........or at least I'll get off work by noon to head to wherever we do a get together. So.................anyone else interested?  ? How about the same place we went last year for the summer get together??? I think it was Clarksville Illinois.............very close to Louisville KY? There was a nice, reasonable Holiday Inn and a downright CHEAP water park! It's a thought!

Have you been seeing tons of TV commercials about Holiday World in Santa Claus Indiana? They are advertising it almost every hour here!! I think it's a bit farther North, but I'm not sure. I know we don't typically go to an amusement park at the Labor Day get together, but this place sounds like a blast.........combo water park/amusement park and all the drinks are free.
The place we went to last year was great too.......I could easily spend 2 days at that little inexpensive water park again!

Holiday World is about 1 hour West of Louisville, off of I-64. I haven't been there (well, I was there 25 years ago when it was "SantaClause Land") but my older girls love going there.

www.holidayworld.com/index.htmlCheck this out! Their website has driving directions to Holiday World from many major cities, such as Chicago, Cincinnati, Detroit, Nashville, etc. There are so many cool things about this place.........free drinks all day long, free parking, free sunscreen, etc.
