Will the day ever come when my girl will sleep in on a Saturday morning? She's up before the roosters every weekend! Of course, we can't pry her butt out of bed before 7 on a school day, but the weekends are a different story. She was seriously up before the dog yesterday! And he sleeps with her! She woke him up by singing him Christmas carols. Cute in that annoying, sleep-deprived way. All I want for Christmas is two more hours of sleep! Jenifer, mom to Joy Daisy

We feel lucky when Sarah sleeps until 7. She is usually up between 5:30 to 6. It doesn't matter if she goes to bed at 7 or 10, she is still an early bird. Fortunately for me, she prefers daddy in the morning. ;D

What is with that? Emma is the same. Nicki gets up at 6am most days but just occupies herself which is nice. I can't wake Emma up for school during the week having to carry her down the hall but on weekends........BING......she's up at the crack of dawn. I daren't leave her to it as she'd have the smoke alarm sounding in no time. I just don't understand it!
One day.........one day......... maybe. SIGH.
Cheers Carolyn

Jenifer, it will come. Laura used to always be up early. Now some times she will sleep to 8, on one or two occasions she slept until 9.
And now, even on the mornings she doesn't sleep in, she gets up, watches TV, listens to music, uses the computer. One recent weekend, Mike went fishing. He told me later that Laura was up when he left at 6 am. I didn't get up until 8, and had no idea she had been up that long.
It will come! Sharon

I can't say what I did when I was young. That was much too long ago. Maybe things change as the child grows up. I can say that it was hard for me to rise in the morning. I still have problems at times but I am working on it.
