for this to get worse! Leah is doing remarkably well!!! We stayed in the hospital overnight, just as a precaution because of the apnea and heart stuff. She has not thrown up yet, she is happy, and asked for spaghetti for lunch today. I am just waiting for her to go down hill, or get worse. I have been told that the 3rd day can be the worst. Then I heard that when the scabs come off, they can bleed pretty bad. I am praying for a miracle! I want to thank you all for your prayers!! You are all so knowledgeable! Thanks for all the tips. I will let you know how she is. Tiffany

Tiffany,
I'm glad to hear it is over and Leah is doing well. Just make sure she gets her pain meds.

I kept waiting for Eric to get "worse" when he had his t&a, but it never really amounted to much. About the 6-7 day, he was a little cranky, but tylenol took care of that. Hopefully, Leah will weather this okay too.

Tiffany, I have to honest too. Dani was pretty mellow throughout the recuperation period. I was wondering how Leah was doing. Keep us posted. Kim

Tiffany, That is terrific!!! I would go through open heart surgery again before a T&A!!! One word of advice....Keep up with the pain meds even if you don't think she needs it for at least 10 days!!! Its a lot easier to keep pain at bay than to get rid of it. Connie
