It will be two years in April I think and I will be finished with the Forteo shots. I can't believe how time goes by so fast. I will be glad too. I will start taking a medicine orally. To those who don't know me, I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis. We will talk about what to take when I see my doctor in the spring. This is when I usually have my annual physical.

I will be looking for your posts since this is a very interesting subject for me - I'm in a fairly high risk group for Osteoporosis myself & my grandmother is nearly doubled over with it.
I'll bet you are glad to soon be finished with the pricking! Chris too

i am glad to hear you do not need to endure the shots anylonger-and the "by mouth" medication should be a fantastic alternative.

That's really good news Debbie, I hate injections too. I struggle to go once a year for my flu shot. Lorraine

I don't mind giving myself shots at all. It is something that has to be done. I've never had problems with shots when I had to have them. I just wasn't sure about doing it to myself because of my vision. I am nearsighted. You might think this strange but I don't like the pricking on the fingers. That bothers me. Shots are a breeze for me. The pricking is different though. I know I will jump when someone does it!
