Clinic here in our home town area. She was on the waiting list and because she is having so many issues my doctor called and they had someone cancel. I am so excited about this. They are the experts in treatment. She is also going tomorrow to a Pedi Neurologist. He will help with the sleep issue..
Are any of your children building a resistance to antibiotics?
Also, Lauren got her hearing aids. She was so thrilled she could hear. She kept singing and talking to herself. We had to take them out though because her ears are draining again.
All these infections..

Glad to hear you got in, it's so hard to wait on a list when you have issues. I wish you all the best of luck tomorrow and let us know how it goes. We will keep you all in our thoughts!

Yea for the appointment!!! Yea for the hearing aids!!!! Boo for the infections. Brook got an ear infection once and had some amoxcacillian (sp?) she got real sick and had to go to the ER for the night. I'm too scared to give her any more antibiotics after that! I'll stick w/ fluids and vitamin c.

Good luck with the appointment! Ashleigh wears Hearing Aids, also! She was like that when she first got hers, too. She was so excited she would tell anybody that would listen "I got hearing aids"!!! Does she say they make her voice sound funny?! That's what Ash use to say all the time when she first got hers. I hope you have good luck with those! Ours have been lost a hundred times, thankfully they always turn up, though!! As far as building a resistance to antibiotics...Man - Ashleigh has always been on A LOT of antibiotics for ear infections, sinus infections, etc. Not as much now that she is older, thank goodness, but I always worried about that, too!

You may want to talk to the doc about alternatives to antibiotics - like immune boosters. You can't use them simultaneously, but maybe between the antibiotics, she could take echinacea & goldenseal, or one of those combos the teachers take - Airborne (?) or something. It might stretch out the times between infections. See what your doc thinks. I'll be looking forward to reading your post-clinic post to see what they come up with on the sleep. I know what it's like to go sleep-deprived for months on end Not for the faint-of-heart! Best wishes!
