Well, I don't think I mentioned this here but my 15 year old and I were rear ended in December. We were on our way to a band performance (he is a drummer at school). He was dressed in a suit, looked AWESOME and we were so excited. Then BAM! The guy who hit me didn't have a license (had a permit) and he pushed me into the car in front of me. We had just sent in the last car payment on my car. It was a total loss.
We got another car (a used 2007) not too long after. I wasn't real happy with it because it was a stripped down model, but it was in good shape and still had plenty of warranty left. Whatever.
Here I am 2 and 1/2 months later - and what do you know, I got hit again today. What the heck is going on??? Thankfully I was the only one in the car this time. I just can't believe it though. I'm 39 and December was my first accident. Now this today! Lotto time?

Thanks ladies... I just needed to vent and say out loud "what the heck is going on... " not that there's a good answer! I went on a diet back in September. Dropped 35 pounds. How am I dealing with this? Well, let's just say I am stuffed and I feel a little better (and a little heavier ) When I called my dh, he (as well as everyone else I talked to) said "are you joking?" Yeah, that's me, the jokester. I started thinking about "what are the odds of this happening" and then remembered, I don't like the odds game LOL!! Thanks for the thoughts, prayers and sympathies - they are indeed appreciated!!!!!! Jodi

Aww Jodi, that just plain sucks!!! And, unfortunately, I can relate. Back in 2001 I had my very first accident ( except I was a bit older than you are ), rear-ended by some 19 yr old guy who was too busy looking int the windows of a gym at all the cutie girls in their spandex exercising too worry about things like watching the road in front of him!!!! 3 herniated discs from that one. Then about 8 months later, rear-ended again!!!! Lets herniate 4 more discs!!! 7 years accident free now!!!
Hope the planets get back in alignment quick for ya!!!

I feel for you Jodi. I've been hit, I think it's 10 times. One day it was 5 hours apart. Sometimes it gets hit when it's parked, once my DH got hit in my car while he was my fiance. NONE of them were my fault. So I completely understand!! Pat

OH wow Jodi!!!! Go buy a lottery ticket QUICK! LOL Ok...well, maybe it would make you feel a bit better right? Especially if you won?! Better odds of feeling better would be CHOCOLATE if you ask me! Either way... I hope your "odds" streak is over!!! And watch out for those crazy CA drivers!!! HUGS! A.
