Okay all you crazy demented snow lovers ( Yes, Laura & CC, You guys are just about head for the crowd ) would someone like to trade lives for a day or so? ? It's been snowing since about 9am yesterday morning and it's not supposed to stop until sometime tomorrow night!!!! We've got a foot and half of snow now with another foot or so to come. My snowblower S**T the bed last night so I've been a shoveling fool. How is that DH seems to always manage to be out of town somewhere warm whenever we have a snowstorm? He's in Atlanta til tomorrow night IF he can even get a flight back in since the airport has been closed most of the last 2 days so lot's of cancelled flights. So anybody want to trade places for a couple of days...... I'll send the sleddogs your way!!!! ; ;D ;D Oh, well, I guess I really shouldn't complain....... what do I expect living in the Buffalo area? ;D ;D Barb

Barb, I'm sorry, but I do NOT want to trade places with you! ! ! We had a TINY snow about 10 days ago and I prayed it would be the LAST for this year. But alas, we had another one last night. It would amuse you, I'm sure! All the TV channels were covering it as if it was going to be a horrible blizzard. People were flooding the grocery stores; stocking up on groceries as if we'd never be able to drive again!!!!! And LOL we might have received 2-3 inches of the white stuff............and by 10am, it was all melted. And, as you know..........if it had been a weekday, our school would have been cancelled!!!!! Gotta love TN!

Thanks guys........ the sun is shining for the moment........ right now we've got 26 inches........... and thanks to the best neighbors, my driveway and sidewalk are down to wet pavement!!!
Deborah..... come on north!!!! Now if this stuff would only last a week I'll be happy...... I want ti all gone by next Sunday for the St Pat's Day parade, seems every year that it's been warm enough to go (for me, that means pretty much anything over 30 degrees), we've been trying to stand balancing on 2-4 foot snowbanks.
Well, Miss Alison is bugging to get out in the snow.... she wants to make "some no angles"!!!!!!

Y'all just keep that snow... ;D We finally have sun here in Texas and I will keep THAT. In fact they say by this time next week...we might see 80!!!! I have been sooooo cold all winter that I am so ready for this. Maybe we will drive to Shamrock , Tex on the Okla border for their St. Pats celebration if it gets that warm.
Of course...3 yrs ago...we had 10 inches of SNOW the second week in May!!!!
But I think I would go NUTs if we had 26 in of snow outside right now.

Jackie,
The first year I lived in Buffalo, would have been 1992, we had a snow storm on Memorial Day!!!! One reason why I laugh when my neighbors all start putting in their annuals Mothers Day weekend. Now that was an exceptionally late snow fall..... we're usually pretty much done with snow by mid-April.
And don't feel the need to keep all those warm degrees down there in TX, send some towards me and Robin - I know she is fed up with winter and snow too!!! LOL

In spite of all the snow here (not 26" Laura, but enough to make it all pretty & good for sliding around the yard), I have seen at least 3 new-born calves & a pair of new kids. I'm keeping my eye open for lambs & foals. Spring is coming, though the snow tells tales of endless winter Cheer up Barb, it's just around the corner! Take a drive around the countryside & look for all the spring babies, maybe it'll make you smile
