Katie called this morning and apparently Em and some of the neighborhood kids were outside shooting Hoops.
Em loves to do free throws since she has a torn ACL and pivoting is not good for her.
I guess she had quite a crowd before it was all over...and Hayden kept running inside reporting to Katie who was doing some work for her office...how many Em was up to.
Katie says...the final total...with NO MISSES...was 228!!!! Verified by parents who were also amazed at what she was doing...LOL
Years ago Emily attended a basketball camp for non disabled kids...think she was about 11...and she won fair and square the free throw competion...24 out of 25.
Too bad we cant "market" this skill....LOL.

How fun!!!! Glad to hear everyone was cheering her on.
Is there a Guiness Book of World Record for free throw shots? You need to look into that!! LOL

Jackie,
I needed a story just like this today. My husband was a college basketball player. One of the first thoughts I had when Daniel was born was he wouldn't play basketball like my husband did. Thoughts of my husband and all his college friends from the team....I was just so devestated at the thought Daniel wouldn't do those things. As we all know, I was so wrong!!!
I now have hope that my Big Dan will shoot hoops with his Little Dan someday....and if he's anything like your Emily.....Little Dan might actually win fair and square!!!

Lisa...tell your hubby that we have watched some real nail biters when it comes to SO basektball...It is AMAZING how good some of those teams are...and even the ones that aren't that good are fun to watch because everyone tries so hard.
Coming from the U of Kansas we are die hard basketball fans...all of us! My grandson Jordan is sure he will be on the Jayhawk squad someday (interesting since he is all of 5'3 at 13...and lives in the same town as the University of Texas...LOL)...but we all have dreams.
OH,..yes..need to clarify...not real FREE SHOTS from behind a certain line...just baskets...but still think thats great of her.
