All that I can say is YAHOOOOOOO my Kodi Lee is home ;D ;D We went to the final show and dinner last night and OMG Kodi is a real trooper in my book She looks terrible and feels not that great BUT she is home now till Friday when she starts Color Guard Camp for a week BUT thankfully that is just a 9 to 5 camp, not a sleep away ;D So this here MOM will let her rest rest rest for the next 4 days and Tuesday she goes back to the Doc for another check.
You know guys I have to say sometimes I think, I live with my head in the sand and don't have a clue what is going on around me HMMMM
The Final show was nothing that I expected let me tell you YIKES The first half of the show was just Wonderful, truly loved it ;D They broke into two groups and each did some kind of modern dance thing and as they danced they each recited parts of, (Kodi's group did) "The Love Song of Alfred J. Prufrock" and Kodi had quite a large part. The second group did to "The Raven" K, not my personal type of entertainment but I must say I was very impressed with their performances Then they showed a Video of clips of what they did in the last five weeks , where they went and each young person told on the video what the program meant to them, which was very cool to watch Then they sang two songs as a group K, that was all nice BUT OMG here is the part I am floored I have to say YIKES
They put the students into two's and each group of two's, guess you would call it a skit to perform, HMMMM
Now being Kodi missed some major practices, so they say, they had someone else do her regular skit BUT the acting teach announced to everyone that he wanted Kodi to perform soooo she and another girl went on first. It was an acting exercise so the teach says and was a good example, he said, to us parents, of what they did every day for five weeks in acting class. K, this is the part I just bout fell off my chair I tell you She and another girl go into this scene neither one having a clue what will take place, just kind of improve or what ever you call it. Anywho the other girl started and Kodi had to react to her cue. Well, without you being there, is sooo hard to explain but it was lots of yelling, cursing and Kodi ended up crying on stage. I mean really crying but so the teach tells me this was GREAT cause she was feeling and experienceing the moment Hmmmmm He said this was a true breakthur for her as she had a very big wall up and was not feeling the parts for the last 5 weeks but she did this night, so we should see this as a good thing Hmmmm . Whatever, all I can tell you is to me I spent all that money to have her start cursing, which BTW she never does or did and actually use to charge me a quarter every time I did, LOLOL Her scene was very short and to that I say THANK YOU GOD. OMG the other 13 or so schenes were nothing but depressing, screaming and cursing All to show us how our kids have learned to feel the moment, OMG guys Kodi just turned 15 in June she was the youngest one there and I have to say I know in plays and movies you will have this BUT come on this was their freakin goal to get her to scream, curse and cry and feel it Hmmmm Anyway there is way too much more, would take me forever to share it all. Alls I know is this 5 weeks was a preview of what their regular College Drama course is about and if thats a preview I say PLEASE guys pray for me that Kodi changes her mind and picks another major and for sure a different college to attend
She did learn and experience many good things I will say BUT this part at the moment is foremost on my mind and I really think if they accept 15 year olds into their program they should surely explain more what our children might be confronted with.
I will share that I told each and everyone in charge how I feel bout this noooo problem for me feeling the moment and letting them know, I don't need a five week acting couse to let it all out
Sorry this is soo long, if you read this whole thing you are troopers too As always just helps me to share and you can BET this is one video of Kodi's performing, Chris will not share in.
