I'm guessing this is someone you would not have to KNOW personally right Jenn?? Dr. Siegfried Pueschel wrote the book Parent' Guide to Down Syndrome.. he has always been legendary in this area so it might be interesting to find out how he came to be involved with Down Syndrome. Gabe has seen Dr. Don Van d**e who wrote Medical and Surgical Care for Children with Down Syndrome. He is at University of Iowa Hospitals. Have fun googling!

you might also try John Langdon Down who first identified Down Syndrome. You could talk about him...and at the same time explain DS to the class.......... there are many sites..here is one.... www.whonamedit.com/doctor.cfm/335.html
