Oh my......I know I'm showing how UNfamiliar I am with the whole EBAY concept, but here goes:
Emily is going to camp this coming Sunday.....GREAT camp, she is not counted as absent from school, and she learns SO much each year!!! I got a letter from the camp on Saturday telling me about the different "theme days", etc. (hat day, sports day, etc) They also have a DANCE on Thursday evening before the kids go home on Friday. This is always the highlight of the whole camp! Well....the "theme" of the dance is going to be "1980's PROM", and this letter suggested that we shop the local thrift stores and find a 1980's prom style dress. I got so excited about it and went to our GoodWill store and could not find a thing! So, I came home and decided to look on Ebay. LOL well.....I found hundreds of vintage prom dresses!!! So, being WAY toooo eager, I immediately bid on a dress......only to discover later that it is WAY tooo big for Emily. To make matters worse......the bidding was over 30 minutes later and I was the highest bidder! SIGH. So now, I have to pay for this dress, along with shipping charges and it won't even fit Emily! My husband buys trading cards (mostly hockey and basketball) on Ebay all the time and always raves on how wonderful it is. I'm thinking I'll do a bit more checking before I ever bid again!!!

Do you know what size you need? My daughter and her friend have some 80's-style prom dresses you could use. Apparently they're all the rave at dances these days, so they have been collecting them when the opportunity comes along. We would be happy to lend you one.
Just post here and let me know if you're interested. ;D

Jenifer~ Thanks so so much for the offer!! Since Emily leaves for camp the day after tomorrow, I'm afraid there is no time for us to get the dress from you before she leaves. A friend from work is bringing one to me today, and I'm hoping it will fit since my Ebay dress won't fit her for a lonnnnng time!! I'm going to just use this as a learning experience.........it is just tooo easy for me to get into trouble on Ebay!! Again, thank you so much! Susan

Dont worry Susan, I've done the same thing. I bid on a summer dress for Nora that was soooo cute~pink, Ralph Lauren~just too cute~ anyway, after I had won it I realized it will be too small for her when summer comes! I did squeeze her into it on Wed. because it was in the upper 70's here but I think that will be the only time she wears it. It did teach me a good lesson though~now I ALWAYS check the sizes! Mary
