I just finished reading "The Slow Moon" a novel by Elizabeth Cox. Deborah you were waiting to hear what I thought and I'm going to have to admit one of my bad habits. I did start the book, and then got wrapped up in it. It was either read the whole thing or read the ending. So I read the ending, and then went back to read the middle and the ending again at a more leisurely pace. It is a very well written book.
A couple of warnings: There is a graphic descripition of a dog being beaten and a lot of s e x. It's not Harelequin romance steamy stuff, but it is the whole under lying current of the book.

Dawn . . . you DO NOT read the end of books, tell me you don't do that!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I haven't done that since what, 7th grade? LMAO!!!!!!
Just a little tip . . . it makes the rest of the book a better read when YOU DON'T KNOW THE ENDING!
That just cracks me up!
Jessie
P.S. If you ever plan on reading "My Sister's Keeper" DO NOT read the ending first, it will spoil it for you. TRUST ME.

Jessie, I admit it, I DO read the end, but only on good books that I can't put down. When I'm wrapped up in the book it's either read the ending or stay up all night to find out. My three kids are not at all sympathetic to my all nighters, so I read the endings and get my beauty sleep and fill in the blanks at a more leisurely pace. I do go back and read the middles and the endings again.
Reading the ending early doesn't work on Harry Potter either.
Will power, suspense, knowing there is a wrapped gift for me in the house is kinda like waiting to see what's going to happen in the book. Better to figure it out sooner than later. I'm pathetic!
