I'm starting to get olympic fever!
I remember growing up and being allowed to stay up later than normal on a school night to watch Bobsledding, and ice skating, and some of the down hill ski events.
What do the rest of you think of the olympics?

I love the Olympics . . . it's on my list of 50 things to do before I die - attend the Olympics. These last two - Torino and Athens I actually had a deposit in for each of those trips. But, then life gets in the way, you get married, have kids, don't have a disposable income anymore - and can't find anyone that wants to travel to those countries!!! Oh well, I'll cross it off my list one of these days! The Athens games would have killed two birds with one stone from my list being that going to Greece is another one.
I personally like the winter Olympic games better than the summer games.

I love the olympics! It seems I always had newborns during the games and thus, I would get up to nurse at 3am and end up becoming glued to the Olympic games at 3 in morning!!!

So Jessie, how do you get a deposit down on the olympics trip? Did you have deposits on the travel or for tickets to the events or both? I think it's incredible that you've made it that far.
The olympics are on my "to do" list too....I've decided that the games I go to have to be outside of the USA. Italy looks wonderful!
Valerie, sometimes it's the little stuff that happens at 3:00 am that matters the most! Sleep who needs it!
My kids and I have already planned out the evening to make sure we don't miss opening ceremonies tonight....complete with popcorn, of course!

Dawn, The name of the company that handles the Olympic ticket sales in the U.S. is called Cartan Tours - www.cartan.com. They will handle your entire trip if you want them to. I just checked out their website and you can already put a deposit in for the 2008 summer games in Beijing, China. Some day I'll get to go!!! Jessie
