someone just sent this to me, and it's legit from what i've found. very simple, and a nice thing to do to help homeless women -- just a little...pass it on, takes only a few seconds.

For most people, the term "Homeless person" conjures up a picture of a dirty skid-row bum or "wino," who has brought his own problems on himself. And while it's true that some of the people experiencing homeless in this country do struggle with or are recovering from alcohol and/or drug additions, this population is also comprised of people with mental or emotional impairments that the system has failed, and with an increasing number of young mothers and their children, who have been victims of abuse or abandonment and have yet to get back on their feet again. I hope you will feel enough compassion for their plight, that you will follow the instructions below, in order to help these women. It won't cost you anything, except a couple of seconds of your time. (And thanks for allowing me to get up on my soapbox again .)
Seventh Generation, maker of eco-friendly tampons (among other eco-friendly products) is donating tampons to women's shelters around the country. For every person who goes to their web site and makes a virtual donation (no money involved) they will donate a pack of tampons to a shelter in the state you choose. What an easy way to help out a little!!!
It takes seconds to do and costs you nothing.
