I am now reading a book about Meriwether Lewis titled Undaunted Courage. It is about the Louisiana Purchase. The subtitle is Meriwether Lewis, Thomas Jefferson and the Opening of the American West. The writer is historian Stephen E. Ambrose. So far it is good. It is not like a history volume or anything like that. The writer tells us facts and stories of Meriwether Lewis. And since Thomas Jefferson bought Louisiana from Spain he is a primary part of it. The book is a paper back and easy to read so far. I am really enjoying it.
I found one of Jodi Picoult's book at Best Buy. I almost bought it. The book was 25 percent off too. Since I bought a CD though I was afraid the total would be too expensive. After I read some of it the book reminded me of The Memory Keepers Daughter. The primary character, I think his name is Daniel, is keeping a secret from his family. He is an artist, well, a cartoonist. I may look for it at the library or Barnes & Noble later. The title is what escapes my memory. It was something circle. I just can't remember it.

It is called the Tenth Circle. I love Jodi Picoult books! It is a mystery, and written through the eyes of each character, but the similarities to Memory Keeper's Daughter, plotwise, is not the same. It is a very intense book and I really enjoyed it. If you like books like The Memory Keeper"s Daughter, or Picoult's My Sister's Keeper (excellent), you'll probably like Tenth Circle. The "tenth circle" is a Dante's Inferno (going through Hell) reference.

I have read some about Dante and his writiings but did not reconize the reference. It has been quite a while since I read about his works.
