Peggy our (excuse me, our sons) iguana went MIA sometime between 10:30 and 3:00 today. She is just a young, little thing. We had a small hole for her heat light in the top of her cage, guess she squeezed through there.
I so don't want to go to sleep tonight! I can already feel her crawling on me while I sleep. She normally doesn't bug me, but not knowing where she's going to pop up has my imagaination running wild.
I left her heat light on hoping that she'll see that and head back to her cage.
Sounds like a good night to be on the computer to me! Dawn

Update please Dawn! I'm so glad I didn't read this until after I went to sleep last night! The thoughts of any type of lizard scares me more than anything else! There is no way I would have been able to sleep at your house last night!

Still no sign of Peggy. I'm glad it's sunny today, my hope is that I'll find her hanging out in a window sill today.
She didn't hang out in water. We got her when she was shedding, so she spent a lot of time in her water bowl then. Mostly she hung out on her stick under her heat light making her escape plan. We did leave water in one of the kids bathroom sinks, and all toliet lids have been orderd to stay shut. I don't usually turn on lights on my trek to a bathroom in the middle of the night, but I did last night.
Peggy doesn't bite, the worst she'll do is whack you with her tail if you scare her.
Here Peggy, Peggy, Peggy....I'd like to sleep tonight!

I am laughing so hard. When I was in college I worked in a pet shop. One day some idiot(ok, me) left the top off the cage and four escaped. We left the top of the cage off and light in the cage on and about two days later they returned to the cage- I guess they were hungry!I hope you find Peggy!

BTW, I love the name Peggy for ANY pet, especially an iguana. So un-Peggy-ish looking! LOL
Who came up with the name anyway?

Jessie~My DH was given the naming rights, since Peggy was officially his Father's Day/Birthday Present (both on the same day this year) from the kids.
He thought she looked like a Peggy. Sorry to any and all Peggy's in unoland. For an iguana she was quite beautiful.
48 hours and she's still MIA. Thomas Jefferson, the cat, has snuck out of the basement a few times and went directly to Cory's room. Thomas was out when Peggy vanished. HMMMM. Haven't seen any remains though either.
I was up late again last night reading. By the time I went to bed, I was so tired I didn't have a chance to even think about Peggy crawling on my head while I'm sleeping, before I fell asleep.
Donnnita, I've changed the grapes and dandelion leaves in her cage everyday. Maybe I should put a few in the window sills. Way to think like an iguana!
