OK, all you people that have some computer smarts, I need a little assistance, please. I'm trying to put together a slideshow for my older son's graduation. I have the picture part, but I'm trying to add music. I am at a loss!
Those of you who have done this, please, please, please offer some advice here! It would be much appreciated! Thank you!! ;D ;D

Valerie, We did exactly the same thing last year when my son graduated and it was wonderful! But, we found a guy in our town who does it. We used 3 songs and about 60 pictures from his birth to graduation picture. How soon do you need it? The guy who did ours charged $60, and I'm sure he'd be glad to do it again. But, I'm sure there has to be a way to do it online for free.......I just couldn't figure it out. What about www.onetruemedia.com? I believe you can do the montage there, and then order a DVD of it.

Yes, I'd suggest One True Media...it's easy to use from what I gather!

You need software to do this. You can either find some you like and buy it, or you can use a service like onetruemedia.com. On onetruemedia, you can make slide shows or montages and they have the music already on the site. Don't know what you do if the music you want isn't there... Check it out, and check out others online. Don't know if photobucket does slideshows or not.

Thank you for the replies, sounds like onetruemedia gets the votes! ;D Susan, his graduation is May 20th, and that's what I'm trying to do, pictures from birth to graduation. That part I have accomplished, it's the adding music that is stumping me! I will check that out, though, and see if I can muddle through it. Thanks again!

Hey, I wanted to thank you all again for suggesting that site. I believe I finally accomplished it! If anyone is interested, thought I'd post a link here of Derek's montage. Little warning, though, it is a bit long!

Valerie, You did a GREAT job with this! He was an adorable little boy and a very handsome young man. You can just SEE how much he loves his little brother in the pictures. The first song you used is one that for some reason makes me CRY!! So, I loved your video even though I got all weepy!

Susan, thank you very much! I'm not one that cries easily, but I have to admit I get all teary eyed watching it. I truly love the person he has become, but man do I miss that little boy! I just can't believe how fast 18 years can go by!

I used to go crazy with this! I have Office Power Point, but had trouble getting the music to play past one slide. Here's what you do. You click "insert" / "movies and sounds" / "sound from file" / and add in what you want. There are free downloads at : www.royaltyfreemusic.com/loops-for-microsoft.htmlTHEN, after you have set the time for each slide,* go back to the slide you inserted the sound into. You then right-click the icon and choose Custom animation", and a window will apear on the side. There you click at the top when you want it to start. The again right click a bit lower, on the name of the music, and click effect options. There you can click after how many slides to stop, etc * to do that, change to slide sorter view, click "slide show" and "slide transition")

Thank you, Lisa! Derek does like it, that may be the coolest part of the whole thing! He told me it was "really cool" and he thanked me for making it for him! ;D
