;D HI. None of my friends/family use Chinese Herbs for "stuff". Like health things. I've been using Tee Tree Oil in my hair w/ awesome results. So I was wondering if any of the Uno friends out here use herbs for any health related things. If so, does it work? I'm thinking about putting DH on some herb remidies (sp) but I just wanted some real people input instead of just what I read on line. Thx, Jennifer ;D

Yep. I take fenugreek for bladder infections - haven't had to take antibiotics for ages! I also take echinasia & goldenseal to help me get over colds -n- stuff.
Be careful about the herbs, though, they are just unregulated drugs - which means they have no quality control outside of the company's reputation, and there has been inadequate testing done on their effectiveness/side effects. Talk to his doc & maybe get a referral to a homeopathic doctor or nurse before you give him anything. They may counteract the effectiveness of his non-herbal meds, too.

THX Chris. I knew you would have an anwser. I should of just PM'd ya. Out on my journey of "research" the past couple days, I have found out that what I thought would help him would of actually been not so good along w/ the TUNZ of other med's he has to take. I was just trying to find something "else" so he would feel better but the reality of it is, he isn't going to. Your heart can only take so much It's just so hard to "come to terms" w/ the whole d**m thing. Ugggg....

Awww. {{Hugs}} to you. I'm so sorry you are having to see your dh go through such hard times. Do talk to the docs about alternatives that might help him feel better. If you pose the question that way, you may get some ideas from the pros. I would think that some vitamin regimen would improve his overall health, and maybe there are some herbals that would be safe & offer at least a chance of improving his situation. Be pushy & let them know that you won't try anything w/o their ok, and that you are only interested in things that absolutely will NOT counteract his meds that has a chance of improving his general health & well-being. As long as they don't see you as some sort of whack-job, they should be able to give some suggestions - at least for a vitamin regimen. Such a bummer! More ((((hugs)))) Chris too dd#3 just asked me if your Brook was Stevie Oh and dd#1 just looked over my shoulder "That looks like Stevie"
