I am going in the hospital Wednesday to get a new knee. I am excited on one hand, I will be very happy to walk without pain, even if it will take a little while afterwards. On the other hand, I am a little nervous, it is surgery.
So if you have a little time, please say a prayer for me, the doctor, and the nurses.
Thanks a bunch, Sharon
They rescheduled my surgery for Friday the 25th. Apparently they had already changed it to the 30th. Only problem was they forgot to tell me!! The compromise is this Friday!

Hello Sharon Please let us know how you get on. I need two new knee replacements but haven't been able to have them done because i am a single mum and don't have anyone who could look after the boys for me. My surgeon told me that with my boys I would need help for around 3 months. I know i will have to have surgery one day as I am in so much pain all the time but I am existing on painkillers. Good Luck. Pauline UK

I can totally relate to what you're feeling now!!! I literally went to the hospital last September shaking like a leaf! The unknown is always worse for me! But, as you know, things went very smoothly and I'm SO glad I tossed that old creaky painful knee! You'll be in my thoughts and prayers!!!!!!!!!!!

So tomorrow is the big day. I will continue to pray for you. I just love it that Susan is so positive about the whole thing because I remember how nervous she was too, and now look at her!
Best wishes for tomorrow! Chris too

SHARON...definitely will be thinking of you. Had it done mysel 12 yrs ago...glad I did...but...sadly its time to do it...again...same knee...so I will REALLY be thinking about you...LOL. You will do fine...but people in your life need to understand ...that while this is getting to be routine...it is a MAJOR thing and you will need their support during rehab.
When you feel the need to whine afterwards...just come on and Susan and I will talk you thru it...LOL.
Luv Jackie

You've been in my thoughts, Sharon. If you're able to read here (I remember that it wasn't all that easy to sit at the computer very long at a time after surgery), please have one of your family members give us an update. Remember..........each day gets better and better!
