Hi...have any of you ever used Craig's List for anything? I was advised to try it out to see my art and posted one picture locally on it. Got a very strange reply...from someone moving to France or Nigeria...LOL...imagine its a scam...but not sure really what to do. It made me pretty uncomfortable and I am wondering whether or not to keep posting items. Katie said that all her friends by from it...furniture and all sorts of things.

We use it here too (Michigan). We actually posted our trailer on there and we ended up selling it 3 days later for the full price. We have also posted other things on there as well. Hubby found an awesome 4 wheeler like brand new really cheap on there too. Good luck

I have used Craigs List Jackie. Some good people out there BUT have ran into some real creaps too!! Liar's that just wanted to who knows what??? My advice is always meet in a public place. Never tell anyone where you live. And, if you can avoid giving out your phone number thats good too. And, never go anywhere alone. Just my two cents

I decided the reply was NOT on the up and up and blocked the sender. I too have heard some pretty weird things about the list...but then also know lots who use it all the time with no probs. Thanks

I love Craigslist....but I have a seperate email address I use when inquiring about items. The most popular scam is if you post something pricey (couple of hundred dollars)....people will email you stating they are from another country and need to use a money order. The money order will be more than your sale and they will want you to give them the difference in cash. The problem is...the money order is fake. So you are the one left owing the bank the full amount of the money order and your customer is long gone.
Be careful.....but it's lots of fun with lots of great deals.

When I lived in California I used it a fair amount, especially when it came to moving time and I needed to get rid of loads of stuff. I never had any issues apart from a few spam emails.
