Can't forget American Bandstand. I think thats the name of it. I wish some of these shows were still on. I asked Mary just the other day if she knew of the little Rascals. She said "the who?"........ made me feel real old Then hubby brings home a set of Gilligan's Island VHS tapes from a garage sale and Mary wants to see it. After digging out the VCR from the bottom of the closet, I play them and she says "there's something wrong mom, it's all black and white"......... then I really felt old Hehehehe P.S. Can't forget Leave it to Beaver ;D

You guys have me down memory lane..... I'll echo my faves..... Brady Bunch....I can watch the first 5 seconds of any Brady show and tell you which it is !! Gilligan's Island.....I am brunette and wished I was Mary Ann !! I wondered if she/me was really prettier than Ginger !! Remmber when she hit her head and thought she was Ginger ? Land of the Lost....was terrified of those Sleestacks ( sp ?) and remember the crystals that controlled the moons LMAO !!! I also loved Lost in Space....."Danger Will Robinson" Dukes of Hazzard....yup we watched too.....and later Knight Rider took its place ! We used to love to watch "Creature Double Feature" on Saturdays.....they always had some "scarier" movies on....Godzilla was a fave !! My parents went out every Saturday night and our sitter would let us watch Dance Fever & Solid Gold and if we were REALLY good....( ie QUIET ) we could watch Love Boat and Fantasy Island !! I think those two shows and Judy Blume books were my sex-ed !! and though not a show....don't forget " school house Rocks"....." Conjunciton, junction what;s your function ?" "I'm just a bill, I'm only a bill sitting here on Capital Hill"

Ok...REALLY dating myself...Dolly LOL...Wagontrain...that was a good one! But...I go back to the "beginnings" of tv...Howdy Doody, Kukla Fran and Ollie, Miss Francis Ding Dong School, Tom Terrific, Winky Dink, Mighty Mouse and even Betty Boop and the bouncing ball singing cartoons. Crusader Rabbit, anyone?
And my ALL time growing up favorite on Saturday nights...Your Hit Parade with Giselle McKenzie, and Snooky Lanson,Dorothy Collins, Virginia Gibson
Then there was Milton Berle, the Jackie Gleason Show, Ed Sullivan, Ted Mack Amateur Hour. Art Linkletter's People are Funny.
Does anyone remember the commercial for Pall Mall Cigarettes...and the dancing boxes of Lucky Strikes?
LOL Jackie
