We have discussed vintage toys, now I want to know what your favorite tv shows and cartoons were when you were a kid.
I was born in Texas but spent a few years of my childhood in California. My favorite tv shows were:
Hobo Kelly Mr. Peppermint Captain Kangaroo Slam Bang Theatre The Archies Felix the Cat The Flintstones The Jetsons thingy Tracy Mr. Magoo Top Cat Yogi Bear Davey and Goliath The Munsters (although my mom wouldn't allow me to watch them when they were on primetime because she said I would be too scared) The Addams Family
Gosh, I guess I have wasted far too much of my life watching tv!

I'm from RI...and my favorite show growing up was Zoom. I know it was on PBS...so it may not have been a national show.....but I loved it. It was a show of middle school age boys and girls who did little skits and had segments like cooking, science projects and stuff like that. I always wanted to be one of the kids ON the show.
Another favorite was Donny and Marie!!! I thought Marie was just so beautiful with her gorgeous hair and I had a huge crush on their younger brother Jimmy.

Are you thinking Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom? I watched that too. Funny how one forgets the name of a show untill you see it & "oh yea, I watched that one too" Ramblin Rod cartoon show. I don't know if it's a Oregon channel 12 thing or not.

Susan, Hmmm.....I think we must be the very close in age. You all are bringing back so many memories. I clearly remember practically holding my breath, hoping and praying that the teacher would say my name on Romper Room when she looked into her mirror. What was her name? Miss Vicki? I remember one more favorite show ~ The Flying Nun Chris

OMG I loved Romper Room. Yes, I totally held my breath for her to say Hello to me. I was born in 1968...and I believe Lisa was the most popular name that year....but I still believed she was talking to ME
