Please allow me to VENT!!!
Yesterday when Jelani was in school I had some free time to go to our local CVS pharmacy...just to pick up an Rx but ventured down the Easter isle....I saw there were 50% off items and I was so excited...let me pick up a couple items I was thinking!!!
I saw this adorable plush Easter basket firetruck that could be used all year round to put his little cars in...and a police car plush one too! So I took them off the shelf and proceeded to check-out only to ask her to scan them for the price...she said 4.99 and I was so happy...I said, "let me go back and see what else I might find!?!". So off I go with my cute items and no sooner than I step into that same isle, the manager comes up to me...SNATCHES the two items.....and says....."these are for another customer". I said in my sad voice "oh, ok....where's this customer?" She said "shopping in the back". I then said "well why were they on display then?" She said...."because I hadn't moved them yet", and she stuffs them under her stocking cart.
SO....I then go back to the check out to purchase the milk I was holding this whole time and I asked for the name of this manager and CVS corporate phone # to make a complaint because of her rudeness. She gave me the number and then I looked over my shoulder and sure enough this manager was "yadda-yadda" to another employee about this...so what do I do? I walk right back over to listen and then said "you know, you were very rude and had no right snatching these shelf items I had chosen out of my hand...and you never even offered to help me find others similar!!!"...Well guess what you all...the manager said the items were for the employee who had already bought them who was infact the one standing right there!!!! So a big lie all around, rudeness beyond belief and to MAKE MATTERS WORSE....the manager actually had the nerve to say....get this...."What do you want me to do? Get down on my hands an knees and apologize to you?" :?
OMG guys...this floored me beyond anything and I just left the store and went home to call and file a complaint with CVS corporate....only to be given a "sorry" and that they'll forward the complaint to her district manager and she'll be "advised"...
GRRRRRRRRRRR.......not exactly earth shattering event...........but I'm soooo pissed because I've been shopping there for years and only there. I give all my $$$ to them and to only be treated this way....it's unacceptable...esp. from a store manager. Just the other night I saw Extreme Makeover with the boy w/Ds in the family ...and I heard how much $$$$ CVS donated, great, but they can't train their employees properly???

In the meantime I wrote a letter and am mailing it to CVS Customer Relations...do you think I'll get a response back or even a simple apology? Hmm...I wonder and I won't be holding my breath!!!
